Maths story 2
Trinity Solutions Academy learners, in maths, were given data sets to calculate differences in averages. We discussed why might working out averages would be useful, in either business or industry. One of the Entry 3 learners had given an excellent response, adding to the debate, using averages to work out which trade platform is “averaging better sales for me!”
Mean, Median, Mode and Range is always a tricky topic that can be confusing to most learners, with one learner asking “why there are different ways to find an average?” A great question that was included into the debate!
I was very pleased with how engaged the learners were on this topic, particularly in the way in which learners contributed to the class debate, with honesty, openness and tolerance and got stuck into activities. Excellent!
