Easter Project Winners!
Recently we told you about a project our bespoke learners worked on. The projects conclusion on the 29th March, consisted of group presentations to the Head of the College – Mrs Lynn McNally and Head of Programme, Mrs Vicky Elliott.
The winning team planned an exciting day, that not only celebrated student achievement, but was also lots of fun. Judges particularly were impressed with their planned activities (including, egg painting, egg and spoon race and teacher ‘sponging’!) and their ideas for the presentation of awards to both students and staff. They had a clear itinerary for the day, with jobs and tasks assigned to everyone – including the need to arrive early on the day to set out the celebration room and to put up decorations. Well done ‘The Competitive Ones’.
The resulting in-depth understanding created from the Project Based Learning has proven to be a powerful teaching method with extensive enhanced learning benefits for learners.
