End of Term Assessments | Maths

In the maths department, this term, we have been preparing for the end of term assessments and revisited topics where learners felt more help was needed.  This included a return to ratio and proportion and percentages of amounts.

All learners looked at Geometry this half term, with Entry 3 learners enjoying the hands on task of cutting out nets of 2D shapes to create 3D shapes for a mini town using cubes, cuboids, and pyramids.  Level 2 learners did some snipping of their own, cutting out exterior angles of polygon shapes, such as pentagons, hexagons and decagons, to further their understanding that exterior angles of any polygon shape add up to 360o.
