Construction learners on the farm
This week, learners within the construction vocation have been up on our on-site farm to begin preparation work for a sensory garden project there. The learners have identified a space to use, cleared it, and have begun to measure out dimensions and identify the materials and equipment needed for the job, including the quantities of such.
Over the remainder of the week they will plan the job out and do some costing work for the sensory garden area, all in preparation for the physical completion of the work – including finishing benches for the area which are being constructed in our on-site joinery workshop by the learners.
