A touch of Autumn
Learners who have joined our Land Based Studies programme have been completing some mindfulness tasks this week. We looked at keywords that included nature, outdoors, senses – which then linked to forming adjectives to describe the season autumn, embedding our English focus.
Learners stepped outdoors to find different materials to create an autumn mobile which would be placed in the Hub as part of our calming trauma informed environment. Learners used their creativity skills to make a plan of how they would like their mobiles to look. They collected several items and then assembled their designs. These are a great addition to the Hub area with an autumn theme. Learners found the task relaxing and enjoyed being outdoors.
