This week, our vocational learners in Construction have been completing their first practical assessments for brick work.
The assessments saw our learners tasked with constructing one-brick walls to a specification, and to a minimum height. The time limit for the assessment was two and a half hours, and everyone finished and had their work areas cleaned well within this time limit.
After completion, the walls are assessed for accuracy, neatness, how well finished the walls are, and whether they’ve met the brief fully. All of the learners excelled at the task and have passed with flying colours!
They also had time to practice and learn the techniques and study the brief requirements for their next practical assessment – which they are excited to tackle after we return from half term.
