Success for Supported Intern Ryan!
Ryan, a Supported Intern at Trinity Solutions Academy, has successfully gained full-time employment as a Tyre Fitter thanks to his hard work, commitment and never give up attitude. With aspirations to work in a garage, Trinity Solutions Academy put together a package of support in partnership with the employer, to enable Ryan to gain real practical skills and experience as well as support from his Mentor, Trinity’s Employer Engagement Officer, Sarah.
A supported internship is a type of study programme specifically aimed at young people aged 16 to 24 who have an Education, Health and Care (EHCP) plan and want to move into employment but need extra support to do so.
Having overcome a number of barriers to realise his career aspirations, Ryan firmly believes people should not give up on their dream, ‘You can achieve anything if you put your mind to it’
