EGGS-pert Detectives and Persuaders

For the final HUB lesson before the Easter holiday, Lara and Jess decided to treat Project Choice and Supported Intern learners to some Easter fun after a hard-working term.

We started with ‘the mystery of the contaminated chocolate’ where learners worked through different clues to find out who was responsible for lacing the Easter chocolate with chilli oil.
Learners completed tasks with Roman numerals, angles, mixed fractions and coordinates to solve the case and successfully apprehend Gemma Glucose. Project Choice and Supported Interns also managed to get a confession out of her. All that trouble because she wanted to make hot chocolate!

Next, learners designed their own Easter Eggs and created adverts to sell them, using persuasive language techniques such as rhetorical questions, statistics, triplets and alliteration.
