Learners Show Initiative in the Enterprise Café

Last Tuesday morning, learners were busy in the Enterprise Café preparing fresh melon pots and cheese and pickle sandwiches ready to sell at lunchtime. They worked confidently and efficiently, demonstrating excellent food preparation skills and teamwork throughout the morning.

While working in the kitchen, the learners also showed great initiative by identifying carrots that were unlikely to be used in time. To prevent food waste, they boiled the carrots and froze them for future use, ensuring that valuable ingredients were not wasted.

Throughout the session, learners displayed both confidence and competence in the kitchen, following good food hygiene practices and taking responsibility for their tasks. Their positive attitude, practical skills, and proactive approach contributed to a successful and productive morning in the Enterprise Café.
