Site Information
Learners who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LLDD) are provided with a study programme that equips them with the skills needed for adulthood. EHCP outcomes are at the heart of the programme to equip learners to: Live as independently as possible; prepare for employment and the world of work; become involved in social and community activity; live a healthy lifestyle.
Bespoke programmes are tailor made to meet the individual needs and aspirations of each learner. An experienced and qualified key worker is assigned to support learners either intensively 1:1 or in a group setting.
Work experience opportunities are available and we have developed links in retail, animal care, hair and beauty, horticulture, warehousing and sports coaching.
Working in partnership
As the programme is bespoke, we have the flexibility to work in conjunction with other external providers. This supports the development of learners and where required meets theraputic needs. We have worked in collaboration with organisations such as Hextol, ESPA, Westgate Community College and Skimstone Arts.
The Learn to Work Programmes will also include:
Personal Social Development, Employability Skills, Travel training (on individual assessed need), Maths and English (Functional Skills to GCSE) and Digital Skills.
All of our qualifications are nationally recognised.
You could be eligible to receive a bursary payment which is based on individual need, please see bursary guidance for more information. A significant contribution to travel expenses is allocated to learners once a week’.
