This week, Motor Vehicle learners explored vehicle suspension systems through a mix of theory and practical tasks.
Each session began and ended with a Kahoot quiz and paper assessment to measure knowledge gained. Learners watched a video and PowerPoint presentation on suspension components and maintenance.
Working in pairs, they used the internet to research and label suspension parts on worksheets. In groups, they discussed common MOT defects and how to spot them.
In the workshop, learners located and labelled coil springs and shock absorbers, observed fitting points and fixings, and asked the tutor about the safe removal of components.
They also estimated costs for replacements and used online sources to price new parts. Finally, they carried out routine suspension maintenance following safe practices.
