They started by selecting the most suitable pallets before carefully dismantling them. Using their joinery skills and hand saws, they cut the wood into manageable planks.

With materials ready, learners moved into the workshop to design and create heart-shaped shelves, using their own templates and hand tools. The project was organised like a production line, with everyone contributing to different stages of the build.

The final products were beautifully finished with a rustic dark oak wax and completed with a loop of twine, making them ready to hang.
