Dream Jobs!
Today, learners completed a Dream Job Research Sheet to help them explore careers they are interested in and identify the steps needed to achieve their future goals. Learners researched the qualifications, skills, experience, and training required for their chosen career and considered how they can begin working towards this goal.
We also discussed the importance of work placements and how they can help learners gain valuable experience, develop employability skills, and build confidence within a real working environment.
During the first lesson, we covered Prevent, discussing how to stay safe, recognise risks, and promote respect and inclusion. Learners also explored expected behaviours in the workplace, including punctuality, professionalism, communication, teamwork, and following workplace rules. In addition, we looked at workplace safety signs and their meanings to help learners understand health and safety requirements when entering the workplace.
