A Day of Care, Growth, and Remembrance

This week, a group of dedicated learners at Trinity came together to refresh and beautify the area around the college's memorial bench. What began as a simple gardening task turned into a meaningful act of community, remembrance, and pride.
Armed with gloves, trowels, and plenty of enthusiasm, learners spent the morning carefully de-weeding the garden space that surrounds the bench. The bench, dedicated to a cherished member of the college community, holds a special place on site — serving as both a peaceful resting spot and a place of reflection.
Once the weeds were cleared, the real transformation began. Learners planted a variety of vibrant new flowers carefully arranging them to bring colour and life back to the space.
“It feels really good to give something back,” said one learner. “This bench means a lot to people here, and now it looks welcoming and cared for again.”
Staff members praised the group’s teamwork and commitment, noting how the project not only improved the area but also gave learners valuable hands-on experience in gardening and environmental care.
The newly planted area now stands as a fresh symbol of growth, community spirit, and respect — a fitting tribute to the memory the bench represents.
A big thank you to all the learners who got involved — your hard work has truly made a difference!
