This week in Motor Vehicles with our new Pre-16 Learners

Our new pre-16 learners in Motor Vehicle have made an excellent start to their course, showing real enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication over the past two weeks. Despite only recently joining the programme, they have already demonstrated impressive practical ability and a strong willingness to learn.
During this short time, they successfully completed a full brake removal and refit exercise, developing their understanding of braking systems and the importance of safety and precision in vehicle maintenance. They also tackled a real-world task by replacing a wheel bearing on a member of staff’s car — a job that required careful attention to detail, correct use of tools, and great communication within the group. To top off their achievements, the learners diagnosed and repaired a starting problem on a Renault Megane, showing great problem-solving skills and persistence in finding the fault.
Their progress has been outstanding, and it’s fantastic to see such commitment and interest in developing their mechanical knowledge and workshop skills at such an early stage. Everyone involved should be proud of their hard work and the professional attitude they’ve shown so far.
