Self Employment

Trinity Academy is offering a brand-new qualification for young people aged 16-18, who are looking to progress into self-employment.

This programme offers an individualised curriculum designed to prepare you for self-employment and will be of special interest to those who want to combine it with a vocational qualification. Learners have the opportunity to follow a flexible course and achieve a nationally recognised Level 1 or 2 vocationally-related qualification.

Learners will gain a Level 1 and/or Level 2 qualification in Workskills. The course has been specifically designed to help prepare those who want to progress into self-employment.

The Learn to Work Programme will also include:

Personal Social Development, Employability Skills, Maths and English (Functional Skills to GCSE), Digital Skills and British Values.

All of our qualifications are nationally recognised.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements. Individual needs will be assessed at the interview to ensure you are enrolled in the most suitable programme.

Progression Routes:

The qualification is best suited to those who wish to progress into self-employment. This course can be combined with our other vocational qualifications and work placement.

Remote Learning:

All theory elements of each course can take place remotely with staff completing regular welfare checks. Training will be given to learners and policies will need to be discussed and acknowledged, before remote learning takes place.
