Blooming Brilliant!
Earlier in the year, the construction teams had designed and made 3 wooden planters from recycled wood.
They used their skills to join the wood together, using a range of materials, gave them a final sand, added colour and ensured perfection with the finishing touches. Learners used their Maths skills to measure the wood and use angles when working on the joints of the wood. These fantastic planters have now been enriched with three fruit trees, 1 plum 1 apple and 1 pear we look forward to next year when we can pick the fruits and share with others. This will encourage learners to reflect on the brilliant work they do and look at how they grow their own. They should be proud of the new additions to our social area outside the Hub.
